Blue berry pie / smulpaj / blåbärspaj / mustikkahyve

500 gm Blueberries
1 dl Flour
2 dl Oats
2 dl Sugar
1 table spoon Cardamom powder
50 gm Unsalted butter
1 table spoon corn/potato startch


  1. Mix defrosted blue berries in a bowl with 1 dl of sugar (or more if required) with all the cardamom powder and startch.
  2. In a separate bowl take the butter with the flour, the oats and the rest of the sugar and mix it well.
  3. Take the blue berries in the baking tray and make a layer of it. On that, start placing bits of the oats mixture prepared earlier so that the second layer is made on top of the berries.
  4. Place the tray in the preheated oven (225) for about 15 to 20 mins. Remove when the color turns a bit brown on the crust.
  5. Have with vanillacream or ice cream.

(The same recipe can be altered for apples. With apples use cinnamon instead of cardamom.)
